"Come in and feel at home"

We would like to give you a little tour around the house. We are going to tell you a bit about ourselfs and how the house transformed. Check out the history section for some before-photos. We have also listet some activities for you and what the area will offer you on your holiday in the Western Algarve. We hope to welcome you soon as guests at Casa Aurora.

The house

In March 2024, we bought Casa Aurora as a holiday home for our family and to rent out to guests. We have put a lot of work into renovating and beautifying the house. The house had been empty for 15 years and the garden had to be completely cleared. The new planting is still low, but the house is already a place of relaxation and well-being with the newly renovated pool.

The living room

The central room in the house is the living room with its high wooden ceilings and a nice fireplace. The house is designed for a maximum of 8 people. The adjoining open-plan kitchen forms a cosy unit and is ideal for cooking together and simply having a good time.

The kitchen

We made a conscious decision to leave the kitchen in the same classic style as we found it. Because it simply suits the house. The kitchen is fully equipped with a large fridge, gas hob, oven, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave and two good coffee machines.

The bedrooms

We have designed the bedrooms the way we would want them ourselves. Good mattresses and slatted frames were also particularly important to us for this reason. We believe that sleep is essential. Especially on your holidays.

The bathrooms

Casa Aurora has two bathrooms. One is an en-suite bathroom that is only accessible via one of the bedrooms. This bathroom has a bathtub with a shower. The main bathroom is accessible from the hallway and has a shower.

The garden & the pool

The centrepiece of the spacious garden is of course the 8×4 m pool, which we completely redesigned during the renovation of the house. A flattening of 50 cm (now 0.8-1.5 m deep) and a new, darker pool liner ensure warmer water for our guests. Also the fact that the pool is south facing and sheltered by the house massively improves its usability. We have planted lots of new plants and a new hedge, which will need a little more time to make the garden look finally the way we want it to. Sun loungers, an outdoor dining and lounge area and a BBQ are available for our guests in the garden.
